PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Askalon. 98/7-54/3 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.78 g, 12h). Ptolemaic standard. Dated CY 41 (63/2 BC). Diademed and draped male bust right / Eagle standing left, palm frond over shoulder; to left, LMA (date) above dove standing left; monogram between legs. Spaer -; SNG ANS 652 (same obv. die). VF, toned, weakly struck, light cleaning marks under tone. Very rare.
