An important sale of Greek, Celtic and Roman coins, held in Monaco, featuring some of the most impressive Roman Imperial Æ offered in the 20th century. Blue leatherette with gilt titles. Fine condition.



Jean Vinchon took over the Paris firm of Mario Ratto in 1939, but had to wait until the end of the war to become active again. Held a premier auction in 1955 in association with Ciani, and continued active until his death at an advanced age in 2002. Business continues under the guidance of Françoise Berthelot-Vinchon.
