KINGS of BITHYNIA. Nikomedes III Euergetes. 127-94 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.47 g, 12h). Dated 177 BE (124/3 BC). Diademed head right / Zeus Stephanephoros standing left; to inner left, eagle standing left on thunderbolt above monogram and ZOP (date). Cf. Callataÿ p. 54 (D30/R1); RG p. 230 var. (monogram); SNG Copenhagen 647 var. (date). Good VF, even dark find patina. Rare, the second known with this date-monogram combination (the other is in the Ashmolean).
