Dated 1796. 1796 ГOДA, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; above, imperial crown; в-м flanking tail / HE HAMБ,/HE HAMБ,/A ИMЯHИ/TBOEMУ. in four lines across field; all within ornate square frame. Edge: grained right. Bitkin 14; Severin 2382; Uzdenikov 1257. NGC photo graded MS 65, an original striking with a hint of toning. A Bitkin Rarity 1 coin. Among the finest known.
