MOHETA PУБЛЬ • 1824, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; above, imperial crown; п-д flanking tail / ЧИCTAГO/CEPEБPA/4 ЗOЛOTHИKA/21 ДOЛЯ/——/C.П.Б. in six lines across field; all within laurel and oak wreath. On edge: • CEP 83 1/3 ПPOБЫ 4 ЗOЛ • 82 14/25 ДOЛИ. Bitkin 138; Severin 2853; Uzdenikov 1483. NGC photo graded MS 63, a select specimen of the final “wings up” design with moderate light toning over very lustrous surfaces.
