SICILY, Katane. Circa 412-410 BC. AR Drachm (4.20 g, 1h). Unsigned dies in the style of Euainetos. Charioteer, holding kentron in right hand, reins in left, driving fast quadriga right; above, Nike flying left, placing wreath on charioteer; KATANIΩ[N] in exergue / Head of Amenanos left, wearing tainia; two fish and crayfish around, AMENANOΣ above. Mirone 72-6 var. (with EYAI on rev.); SNG ANS 1263; SNG Lloyd 906; Rizzo pl. XIV, 8 (same obv. die). Good VF, toned, minor roughness, light scratch on neck of Amenanos. Rare.
