Justinian I. 527-565. Æ 4 Nummi (1.89 g, 5h). Thessalonica mint. Struck circa 527-538. D N IVS[TINIANVS PP AVC], diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Large Δ; A P flanking. DOC -; MIBE 175; Metcalf, Copper 20-28A; SB 194. Crude VF, red-brown patina, die breaks on obverse. Very rare, none in CoinArchives database, but cf. Lanz 141, lot 870, for a similar example that sold for a hammer of €1400.
