CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 415-405 BC. AR Nomos (7.72 g, 3h). Phalanthos, holding oar, on dolphin left; waves below / Nude horseman riding right. Fischer-Bossert group 20, 290 (V131/R222); Vlasto 313 (same obv. die); cf. HN Italy 847 and 849; SNG ANS 876 (same dies); SNG München 614 (same dies). Fine, lightly toned, die breaks on reverse, scratch on obverse under tone, minor porosity. Very rare.
