IONIA, Ephesos. Phanes. Circa 625-600 BC. EL 1/48 Stater (0.29 g). Head of stag right; three pellets to left / Incuse square punch with raised lines within. Weidauer -; SNG von Aulock 7788 var. (no pellets); Zhuyuetang 10 var. (same); Triton IX, lot 923. VF. Extremely rare denomination, and the second known with three pellets on obverse.
