KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander I. 498-454 BC. AR Oktobol (4.10 g, 8h). Aigai mint. Struck circa 476/5-460 BC. Horse and horseman, wearing petasos and holding two spears, standing right / ΑΛE-ΞA-NΔ-PO around quadripartite square; all within incuse square. Raymond group II, 67 (A2/P1); SNG ANS 27; SNG Alpha Bank 48; SNG Saroglos 3; SNG Lockett 1381 (same dies). Good VF, lightly toned. Very rare.
