SAMARIA. Circa 375-333 BC. AR Tritartemorion (0.20 g, 10h). Forepart of winged and horned animal right within ornate border / Facing head of Bes within ornate border. Cf. Meshorer & Qedar 158. VF, toned, minor roughness. Very rare.

This may be the exact type of Meshorer & Qedar 158. Their illustrated example was in fairly poor condition, obscuring most details. The animal on the obverse appears to be the same as that depicted on Meshorer & Qedar 155. The types are listed here opposite to that is Meshorer & Qedar, as the Bes side is clearly struck with the punch die.
