SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. AR Tetradrachm (13.92 g, 12h). Struck AD 178/9. Laureate and draped bust right / Tyche of Antioch seated right on rock outcropping, holding grain ears; below, river-god Orontes swimming right; to upper right, star above ram’s head left. McAlee 577 (this coin referenced); Prieur 160 (this coin illustrated). Good VF, toned. Extremely rare, the only example recorded.
