SICILY, Syracuse. Circa 415-405 BC. Obverse die signed by Eumenes, reverse die signed by Eukleidas. AR Tetradrachm (17.16 gm). Charioteer driving galloping quadriga left, holding kentron in right hand, reins in left; Nike flying above crowning charioteer, EVMHNOV in exergue / SURAKOSIOS, head of Arethusa left, wearing looped earring and necklace, surrounded by four dolphins swimming; EUKL/EIDA inscribed on tablet below chin. Tudeer 24 (V9/R16); SNG ANS 259 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 1368 (same dies). Lightly toned, good VF, both signatures complete. ($5000)
