Paduan engraved by Giovanni Cavino, early-mid 16th century. • L • VERVS • AVG • ARM • PARTH MΛX • TR • P • VIIII, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / TR P • VII IMP • IIII/COS III • P P • in two lines in exergue, Verus, in military outfit and holding parazonium, standing left, presenting Victory to Jupiter, holding scepter and thunderbolt, seated facing slightly right on rock outcropping of the Capitol; to left of Verus, Virtus standing left, crowning him with wreath. Klawans 1; Lawrence 60. Good VF, attractive brown and green patina. “30” engraved in obverse field below beard of Verus. A gorgeous original strike.
