AEOLIS, Temnos. Circa 188-170 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 16.58 g, 1h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, (PA monogram) and E above oinochoë within vine tendril. Price 1676; CNG E-144, lot 73 (same obv. die); Künker 89, lot 1353 (same obv. die). Good VF.


The monogram is malformed in the die used on this coin, but the obverse die links to other examples with the correct monogram confirm the reading.
