VISIGOTHS, Spain. Uncertain king. Circa 507-580. AV Tremissis (14mm, 1.37 g, 6h). Pseudo-imperial series. Struck in the name and types of Byzantine Emperor Justin I, circa 518-527. CVSTI NICΛPRVC (first C retrograde), pearl-diademed and mantled bust right, with small cross pattée on breast / V ΛISVI VIΛRSN, Victory advancing right, holding wreath and palm frond; OINOC (C retrograde). Tomasini 160 (same dies); MEC 1, 186-9 var. (legends). Good VF, light graffito before face on the obverse.
