THESSALY, Perrhaiboi. Late 5th to early 4th centuries BC. AR Obol (13.5mm, 0.81 g, 7h). Bridled horse prancing to l., its rein trailing; border of dots / Π-E above to l. and r., P-A below to l. and r., the P horizontal to l., Athena Itonia r., half kneeling in fighting attitude, wearing crested helmet and long robes, holding spear in her r. and shield in her l., all in shallow incuse square with rounded edges and corners. Boston MFA 916 (same dies); SNG Ashmolean 3904. Near VF, toned; surfaces a little rough, especially the obverse; a nice coin with exceptional detail for the type.
