Head of deified Alexander right / Athena Nikephoros seated left, holding Nike in right hand, left elbow resting on shield, spear behind; AP monogram in inner left field, monogram in exergue. Meydancikkale 2717 var. (same obverse die; AP monogram reversed); Müller 436 (Ephesos) var. (same). Good VF, light obverse die rust. ($500)

This same obverse die can be seen deteriorating over the next two lots, then re-engraved for striking the following third.
