ISLANDS off THESSALY, Skiathos. 4th century BC. Æ Chalkous (14mm, 2.17 g, 5h). Youthful male head l., bound with tainia / ΣKI r. down, AʘI l. down, kerykeion (caduceus) with spiked end for standing on the ground, all in shallow round concave field. Rogers 573, fig. 323 (same obv. die); see also Nomos 4, 1366 (same rev. die and the obverse die from the same hand). VF, dark green patina; the obverse a little flat on the high relief area; a pretty coin struck from an artistic obverse die.
