(911.1) THESSALY, Thessalian League. Second half 2nd century BC. Æ Chalkous (14mm, 2.29 g, 5h). Laureate head of Apollo right / ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; monogram in inner right field. Not found in the consulted references. Fine, dark green patina, a few minor pits; rare.


(911.2) THESSALY, Thessalian League. Second half 2nd century BC. Æ Chalkous (15mm, 3.26 g, 12h). Laureate head of Apollo right / [Θ]EΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; monogram in inner right field. Not found in the consulted references, but cf. Rogers 11 for the trichalkon denomination of this issue. Good Fine, attractive light green patina; rare.

Not found in the consulted references. Good Fine, dark green patina; rare.

Good Fine, dark green patina.

Laureate head of Apollo right / [Θ]EΣΣA/ΛΩ[N], Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; above spear, IΠΠ to left, AIT to right. Not found in the consulted references. Near VF, attractive brown surfaces; rare.
