AVT KAI M AVP ANTΩNЄINOC, laureate and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery; gorgoneion on breastplate / ЄΠI CTP T KΛ ΣTPATONЄIKIA/NOV/ ΘVATЄIPH/NΩN, emperor, wearing military attire, standing right, facing Apollo standing left, wearing chlamys and holding labrys, the two supporting a prize urn below ΠVΘ/IA; lighted altar between figures. Imhoof-Blumer, Lydische pp. 158-9, note 1; BMC 112; Mionnet Suppl. VII 631. Good VF, mostly reddish-brown patina with a few spots of green, very minor doubling on reverse figure of Elagabalus. Extremely rare.
