ASIA MINOR, Uncertain. 4th century BC. AR Obol (7mm, 0.63 g, 3h). Facing gorgoneion / Owl standing left, head facing; olive spray behind, ΛAP before. Apparently unpublished. VF, some porosity.
While this combination of types is not known outside of Philistia and Samaria, the style appears to suggest an origin in Asia Minor. There are a handful of cities in that area whose names begin with ΛAP: Larissa in the Troad, Larissa Phrikonis in Aeolis, and Laranda in Lycaonia.
