MACEDON, Skione. Circa 454/3-423 BC. AR Tetrobol (11mm, 2.82 g, 1h). Attic standard. Male head left / Helmet left within incuse square. AMNG III/2, –; SNG ANS –; Traité –; SNG Copenhagen 319 var. (head right). VF, lightly toned, light porosity. Extremely rare with head left.

The early helmet coinage was apparently struck on the Attic standard, presumably while Skione was a member of the Delian League.
