JUDAEA, Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Elagabalus. 218-222 CE. Æ (25mm, 9.08 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, with [gorgoneion] on breastplate / Facing quadriga carrying the baetyl of El-Gabal decorated with eagle; parasols flanking, branch (very faint) in exergue. Meshorer, Aelia 133; SNG ANS 625-6; cf. Rosenberger 78. Near VF, dark brown patina under a thin layer of earthen deposits.
