YORK (Restored). Edward IV. Second reign, 1471-1483. AR Groat (25mm, 2.84 g, 1h). Light coinage, type XXI. London mint; im: heraldic cinquefoil. Struck 1480-1483. ЄDWΛRD’ · DI · GRΛ’ · RЄX · AnGL’ · Z · FRΛnC (saltire stops), crowned facing bust, with rose on breast; all within tressure of arches, with trefoils in spandrels / POSVI (rose) DЄVm (double saltire) ΛDIVTORЄ’ (rose) mЄVm/CIVITΛS LOnDOn, long cross pattée; three pellets in each quarter. Blunt & Whitton type XXI, rev. variant 5; North 1631; SCBC 2100. Good VF, toned.
