BELGIEN’S RAUBZUG 1920 (Belgium’s robbery), the forepaw of the Belgian lion grabbing the tombstones of Eupen and Malmedy out from under a weeping willow tree / NACH DEM SIEG (after the victory), three-headed winged beast, containing the likenesses of David Lloyd George, Woodrow Wilson, and the French rooster, flying right, desecrating document inscribed SELBSTBE/STIMMUNGS/RECHT DER/VÖLKER (the people’s right to self determination) in four lines; to right, bottle inscribed FRIEDEN/ESSENZ (peace perfume).
