Circa 237-209 BC. Æ Unit (24mm, 11.15 g, 12h). Carthago Nova mint. Bare male head left / Horse standing right; palm tree in background. MHC 282; ACIP 69; SNG BM Spain 127-8. Near VF, green patina, smoothing and cleaning scratches.
Thought by some to date post 209, being struck during the Roman occupation of Carthago Nova, and to represent the Roman general Scipio Africanus.
