BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 425-350 BC. AR Nomos (22mm, 7.54 g, 5h). Eagle standing left, with wings displayed and head raised; [KOY] to right, BO[IΣ] in exergue / Tripod with legs terminating in lion’s feet, adorned with fillet hanging to the left. HN Italy 2150; SNG ANS 347 var. (crab on obverse to left; same rev. die). Fine, lightly toned, faint graffiti (ΣINK?) in left field of obverse.
