2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (21x16mm) mounted in a bronze swivel ring (max. width 27mm). Base engraved with protective and prosperity signs. Intact, once glazed, bronze mount perfectly preserved but now corroded, back is discolored due to the contact with the wearer’s skin.
