NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (19mm, 1.41 g, 6h). Star in Lozenge Fleurée type (BMC xiii). Walingeford (Wallingford) mint; Asulfr, moneyer. Struck circa 1121. + ҺENRICVS R, crowned bust left, holding scepter / + OSVLF : ON : PEL[L]IGL, lozenge with incurved sides; star at center, fleur at each end, and trefoil in each quarter. Good VF, attractive glossy dark toning, usual spots of weakness. Excellent portrait. Rare.
