THESSALY, Phalanna. Late 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (14mm, 2.42 g, 12h). Head of Zeus Peloris right; [ΠEΛOPIΣ] below / Φ–A–ΛA, the nymph Phalanna seated right on chair with curved legs, leaning right elbow on back of chair, petting a stork with left hand. Rogers 458; BCD Thessaly I 1260 (“chalkous”; same dies). Good VF, green patina, minor roughness. Rare and charming type.
