Very Rare Silver Issue of Gyrton from the BCD Collection
THESSALY, Gyrton. Circa 340s-330s BC. AR Hemidrachm (14mm, 2.94 g, 5h). Head of the nymph Gyrtone facing slightly left, hair in ampyx / ΓPY in exergue, [TΩ]NIΩN above, horse standing right, preparing to lie down. BCD Thessaly II 77 (same rev. die); Traité IV 741. Good VF, a hint of porosity. Very rare.
