AV Solidus (4.37 gm). dVIIVI[ ]-VCC AV, helmeted and cuirassed facing bust, holding spear and shield / AIVdIOV-T AVCCC, Victory standing left, holding long cross with [Chi]-rho at top; star to left. Belfort 5037 var. (legends, less crude); cf. MEC I 177 (Visigoths) and 347-348 (Burgundians). Good VF, holed twice, probably for use in India. Extremely rare. ($500) The reverse is in the style of a solidus of Zeno.
