By T Halliday(?). Struck circa 1820. Equatorial projection of the eastern and western hemispheres. Shows South Shetland Islands (discovered in 1819), but does not include South Orkney Islands (discovered in 1821). BHM –; Eimer 1139b // (b) Absent-Minded Beggar (51mm, 32.49 g, 12h). By J. Ottley, Medallist, Birmingham. Struck circa 1893-1900. Circular table of distances between London and other English cites on one side and tabular list of distances between London and popular English bathing places; in outer margin to left, distance to Oxford and Cambridge Universities; in outer margin to right, distance to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and St. Andrew’s Universities (listed as SCOTCH UNIVERSITIES on medal).
