Dated year 2 (133/4 CE). “Shim‘on” (in Hebrew) within wreath / Kithara with three strings; “Y[ear] 2 of the Freedom of Israel” (in Hebrew) around. Mildenberg – (O13/R25 [unlisted die combination]); Kaufman I 11 (same dies); Meshorer 239; Hendin 1397 corr. (illustrations are of 1398); Bromberg 465 (same obv. die); Shoshana I 20298 (this coin); Sofaer 41; Spaer –. VF, areas of flat strike. Among the rarest of the Bar Kochba coins, only one other example known from this die pairing.
