TRANSYLVANIA, Eastern Hungarian Kingdom. Ioan II Sigismund Zápolya. 1540-1571. AV Dukát (22mm, 3.54 g, 7h). Sibiu (Hermannstadt / Nagyszeben) mint; mm: crowned crossed daggers. Dated 1569. Crowned coat-of-arms / Madonna seated facing on crescent, holding infant Christ. Resch 73; MBR 261; Friedberg 275; CNG E-294, lot 989 (same rev. die). Good VF, underlying luster. a little wavy.
