DIVO/AVGVSTO/S • P • Q • R in three lines in left field, Augustus seated left on throne, holding laurel branch in right hand and scepter in left hand, set on ornate triumphal car drawn by four elephants; each elephant has its own mahout on its neck / TI • CAESAR • DIVI • AVG • F • AVGVST • P • M • TR • POT • XXXVII, large S • C. RIC I 62 (Tiberius); MIR 2, 52-4; BMCRE 108 (Tiberius); BN 90 (Tiberius); Cohen 307 (Augustus). VF, dark green and red patina, minor pitting, and minor smoothing in fields. Rare.
