(escallop) : ELIZABETH : D’ · G’ · ANG’ · : FRA’ · ET : HIB’ : REGINA :, Elizabeth seated facing on ornate throne, holding lis-tipped scepter in left hand, right hand set on globus cruciger propped on her knee; all within tressure of arches; portcullis (with chains) below / (escallop) · A : DNO’ · FACTV’ · EST · ISTVD · ET · EST · MIRAB · IN · OCVLIS · NRIS’ ·, royal shield in center of Tudor rose. Brown & Comber A10; Schneider 779 (same obv. die); North 2003; SCBC 2529. Good VF, a little soft on queen’s face otherwise well struck with an attractive golden tone.
