Vespasian. AD 69-79. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.42 g, 6h). “Judaea Capta” commemorative. Rome mint. Struck January–24 June AD 79. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head right / TR POT X COS VIIII, Victory advancing left, placing shield on trophy; below, Jewish captive, veiled, in attitude of mourning, seated left, with head propped on hand. RIC II 1068; Hendin 1485; RSC 552. Lightly toned, small flan flaw on obverse and a few shallow scratches. Good VF.
