Crowned arms of Francis (as Dauphin) and Mary over long cross / Crowned FM monogram, lis above crown; Lorraine cross on each side; counterstamp: crowned thistle. Counterstamp: SCBC pg. 70; host coin: Burns pg. 319, 1; SCBC 5416. Counterstamp and coin, toned, good VF. Exceptional counterstamp on a high grade host coin. ($750)

This Teston circulated at a face value of 5 shillings when issued under Mary, but was revalued at 7 shillings, 4 pence when recalled.
