Diademed bust left, short pointed beard, ear visible, lock of hair on brow, wearing tiara decorated with "hooks"; B behind / [B]ACILE[WC] BACILEW[N] AP[CAKOV] OLA[GACOV DIKAIOV EPIFANO[VC FIL]ELLHN[OC], Vologases seated left on throne, Tyche standing right before him, presenting a diadem and holding sceptre; QPT (year) above, [month in exergue]. Cf. Sellwood 72.1-2; Shore -; cf. BMC Parthia pg. 200, 45 (Pakoros II); cf. MACW 670 (Vologases III). Toned VF, reverse double-struck. Oversized flan. ($300)

After the fall of Vologases I, the kingdom was split between two rivals, with Vologases II ruling Mesopotamia, and Pakoros II in Iran. Based on the style of his tiara, last seen on coins of Vonones II, it is possible that the two were related. Almost nothing else is known of this king’s reign.
