HADRIAN. 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (10.63 gm). Uncertain mint in Asia Minor. Struck after 129 AD. Bare head right / Apollo Pythius seated half-left on rock outcropping, reaching over head to draw arrow from quiver, and holding bow; serpent entwined about rock behind. RIC II -; Metcalf, Cistophori -; Pinder -; BMCRE -; RSC . Near VF, minor porosity. Overstruck on an uncertain cistophorus. Apparently unpublished. ($750)
