KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.80 gm). Parion mint. Struck early-mid 3rd century BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena seated left, holding Nike, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; thyrsos to outer left, QE monogram on throne, monogram in exergue. Cf. Seyrig, Parion 15 (dies from the same engraver); cf. Meydancikkale 2683 (dies from the same engraver); Boehringer, Chron. pg. 159, 15 var. (thyrsos to outer right, no monogram on throne); Müller 364 var. (same). Good VF, recently cleaned. Apparently an unrecorded variety. ($500)
