CRETE, Gortyna. Circa 2nd-1st century BC. AR Drachm (3.26 gm). Diademed head of Minos right; G(?) below / Apollo seated left on rock, holding bow and arrow; DA above right arm (partially erased), GOR-R(?) behind (partially erased). Cf. Svoronos, Crète 157 (for type); cf. BMC Crete pg. 43, 50 (for type); cf. SNG Copenhagen 449 (for type). Choice VF, toned. Apparently unrecorded with these letters on the reverse. ($200)
