ANTONINUS PIUS. 138-161 AD. Æ Sestertius (26.52 gm). Struck 158-159 AD. Laureate head right / Male figure standing facing on low pedestal, head right, holding eagle-tipped sceptre and branch; all within arched distyle temple; crossed shields and trophy as acroteria; florettes along roof line. RIC III 999; BMCRE 2053; Cohen 332. VF, dark-green patina, hairline flan crack. ($750)

The temple depicted on the reverse is uncertain, but the attributes of the figure within suggest it is a statue of Genius Senatus or an Emperor as 'pacifer.'
