KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.09 gm, 8h). Amphipolis mint. Struck 288/7-282/1 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BASILEWS LUSIMACOU, Athena seated left, holding Nike in extended right hand, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monograms to inner left and in exergue. Cf. Thompson 210 & 211; Meydancikkale 2675 (same obverse die); cf. Müller 536 & 544. Superb EF, light toning. ($2000)
