CRETE, Phalasarna. Circa 330-270 BC. AR Stater (11.29 gm, 6h). Head of Artemis Diktynna right, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace, hair bound with cord wrapped twice / F-A, trident head. Svoronos, Numismatique 2, pl. 25, 5-6 (same obverse die); Le Rider, Crète pl. X, 12-13 (same obverse die); BMC Crete pg. 65, 1 (same dies); SNG Copenhagen 522 (same obverse die); De Luynes 2367 (same dies). Good VF, darkly toned. Unusually nice flan with no porosity. ($2000)
