HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, bare-headed and draped bust right / FELICITATI AVG, COS III P P in exergue, S C across field, galley sailing right, eye on bow, consisting of six rowers and hortator seated beneath acrostolium flanked by military standard and vexillum; statue of Triton/Neptune on prow, brandishing spear or trident. RIC II 704 var. (bust type); Strack 838zo; Banti 382 (same reverse die); BMCRE 1386 var. (two rows of six rowers); Cohen 694. EF, brown patina with orichalcum highlights. Exceptional reverse variety.
