DOC II -; cf. MIB II 77; cf. SB 666. Near VF, brown patina. Extremely rare and unlisted date for the type. ($200)

Rare folles and now a three-quarter follis are known from Cyzicus with regnal year 9, which would have come one month after Phocas was deposed and executed. Apparently Cyzicus had year 9 dies prepared, and used them briefly before introducing the types of the new emperor Heraclius.
