Dated 1552. `IMP•CAROLVS•V•AVG, laureate cuirassed bust in the Roman manner, facing right; K in right field, bust entirely within linear border / `GVIQ3 •SVVM`, eagle grasping thunderbolt and olive branch on globe, imperial crown above; date as 1S S Z, linear border. Crippa 7A illustrates a reverse die with this mirror image date variety, but neither Crippa nor CNI mentions this variety in their catalogues.
